Reminder – public consultation ends this Friday.

We are sure that some of you have battle fatigue by now and maybe wondering what new arguments you might use in your response, or even if it is worth writing at all.  Our view is that is most definitely worth writing in.  The council is relying on people running out of steam.  If few people respond the council will be able to use that as evidence to the court that they have overcome the objectors concerns.  It is really important that we show how many people believe that the council’s LDF is still flawed. There is extensive guidance further down this page or you can write a very short note  – remember to state the word object - so using your own words you could say something along the lines of

I OBJECT to the findings in the revised AA and SA dated August 2011.

The issues identified in my previous consultation responses have not been addressed by the revisions in the AA and SA.

In addition, the AA still gives inappropriate weight to out of date and inappropriate data.
New data, such as the South Sandlings Survey and the Deben Visitor Survey have been acknowledged but then ignored in the conclusions.
An essential piece of the so called “suite of mitigation measures” is a new country park.  No site has been identified or costed – there is no evidence that this will materialise.
On the basis of these revisions the LDF should be returned to the cabinet for further debate.
