Public meeting on 29th June 2010 in St Michael's Church

St Michael’s church was full on 29th June for the public meeting. There was unanimous support for continuing the fight against the plans for a  new town. The new coalition Government has said it will scrap the top-down house building targets set by the Labour government and allow local communities to have much more say in what is built and where.

There were two slide presentations given at the meeting.  Presentation 1 describes the background to the LDF and the current situation in the light of the new government, and what NANT believes SCDC should now do to honour the commitment it gave in the event of a change of government policy.  Presentation 2 describes what NANT has been doing since its inception.

NANT is grateful for the many offers of help and will shortly be in touch to identify what actions you can take to respond to the Council’s proposals in this changed political environment.
